Notification and Letter of Consent for Collection, Processing and Use of Personal Information

According to the R.O.C. Personal Information Protection Act and the internal policy/regulations of Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs is obligated to provide you with the following notice prior to collecting your personal data, as required by law. Please read it carefully.
1. Purposes and Categories of Personal Information to be Collected
For the purpose of carrying out International Connection and Innovative Empowerment Program for the Semiconductor Industry (ICIE) business, activity or project, including post-project follow-up, outcome tracking and effectiveness evaluation, the purpose of providing service, Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs internal administrative management or reporting to the competent authority, the purpose complying with the Endowment, or the purpose of sending Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs's or industry relevant information, Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs needs you to provide these categories of personal information: C001 identifying individuals, including name, email address, phone number, and other contact information; C011 personal description, including nationality and country/region of residence; C051 school records; C052 qualification or skills; C054 occupation specialty; C061 current employment status; C064 work experience; and resume/CV and other information voluntarily provided by the applicant or participant.
2. Time Period, Areas, Manners of use of Personal Information and Entities to use Personal Information
(1) Period: Until 2028/12/31.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, after December 31, 2028, where necessary for post-project follow-up, outcome tracking, effectiveness evaluation, reporting to the competent authority, project closure, audit, inspection, dispute handling, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of rights and obligations, the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs may retain, process, or use the relevant personal information within the necessary scope for up to three years after the end of the project, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable laws, regulations, or competent authority requirements.
(2) Areas: Within the territory of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the countries/regions where the commissioned third parties provide services for this project, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and other relevant countries/regions necessary for project implementation.
(3) Entities to use Personal Information: Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs / Institute for Information Industry, third parties commissioned for the implementation of this project, including Kantar and Second Talent, and participating companies in project-related talent recruitment activities. If there is any change to the commissioned third parties or participating companies due to project year, activity, or implementation needs, the updated names will be specified in the relevant survey notice, event notice, email notification, or project-related communication before such parties process or use the personal information.
(4) Manners of use of Personal Information: Processed and utilized in paper and/or electronic form.
3. Your Rights with regard to Personal Information Provided

(1) any inquiry and request for a review of the personal information;
(2) any request to make duplications of the personal information;
(3) any request to supplement or correct the personal information;
(4) any request to discontinue collection, processing or use of the personal information; and
(5) any request to delete the personal information.
4. The Influence on Your Rights and Interests while You Choose not to Provide Your Personal Information
If you provide incorrect personal information or choose not to provide your personal information to Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs may not be able to provide you with services relating to the purposes prescribed above.
5. You understand that this document complies with the R.O.C. Personal Information Protection Act and relating regulations, and you agree that Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs keeps this document for further checking.
